Player Team Type Comment
Allen, James CHI RFA I still like Allen and don't hold the terrible Bears running game against him. He probably won't go anywhere, which is a shame because he won't be able to show off until he leaves Chi-town or some changes are made.
Allen, Terry NO UFA This was probably his last stop - cross him off every place you see his name.
Barber, Tiki NYG UFA Oh oh…the Giants better not let this MVP go. He had a career year in a free-agent year - great timing Tiki. Ron Dayne is a bust so far and Tiki is desperately needed on this team, but the Giants are so bad with free-agency issues. I expect him to be resigned though.
Bates, Mario DET UFA A decent change of pace back who should be resigned as James Stewart insurance.
Beasley, Fred SF RFA He wowed many fantasy owners with his early season success, but as I predicted he faded just as quick as he appeared. Whether he resigns or not I would stay away from him.

Bennett, Brandon CIN RFA Corey Dillon's potential replacement?
Bettis, Jerome PIT UFA Could the Bus finally be leaving Pittsburgh? A down year, no playoffs, another offensive coordinator…could be. He's still a very serviceable back though and unless the Steelers plan on drafting somebody he's safe in Steel town.
Carter, Tony NE UFA Will Robert Edwards really play this year? Hard to say, but odds are no. Still, Carter is not the answer and it's up in the air whether he will stay in the crowded backfield for an idiot head coach.
Coleman, KaRon DEN RFA Ever think that if Davis, Gary and Anderson went down with injury, KaRon would rush for 1,500 yards? Yeah, me too. To bad we'll never know.
Comella, Greg NYG RFA He's more valuable to the Giants than Ron Dayne is - consider him a lock to stay, but avoid on your roster.
Crockett, Zack OAK UFA It's hard to believe that he can't beat out Tyrone Wheatley. Oh well, expect a re-signing and look at him as a #4 RB for you - unless injuries hit Oakland again.
Denson, Autry MIA RFA With Lamar Smith's emergence, Autry is a nobody for now, but will stay as backup.
Dillon, Corey CIN UFA C'mon, if this guy resigns with the Bengals he's the biggest two-faced punk since…well, Carl Pickens. He's gotta be gone from the worst team in professional sports - how about next door to the Steelers or the Browns?
Dillon, Corey CIN UFA Well, he's got no choice now. Cincy can match any offer so he could be stuck here. Although he's certainly worth 2 #1 picks don't you think? Maybe the Browns could snag him.
Dukes, Chad STL RFA Next…
Enis, Curtis CHI RFA Big bust…will probably be out of work soon, unless his salary is low enough to keep around as a backup. Stay away from him.
Enis, Curtis CHI RFA Big bust…will probably be out of work soon. Stay away from him.
Fuamatu-
Ma'afala, Chris
PIT RFA He should be banished just for that last name!
Green, Ahman GB RFA The Dorsey Levens insurance policy paid off big time this year and I can't see the Packers letting him go. He's a good #2 RB in fantasyland with Dorsey hurt, but what if Dorsey is healthy?
Hicks, Skip WAS RFA Just think, he was supposed to start for the Redskins a few years ago. He could be a nice surprise starter somewhere if he leaves Washington.
Holmes, Priest BAL UFA Now that Jamal Lewis is around Priest should be praying for another team to sign him, but he's still used in Billick's system so he may stay, especially as backup (Jamal did have all those injuries at Tennessee). If he goes to another team to start (like the Vikings) he'll be a #1 back.
Holmes, Priest BAL UFA Now that Jamal Lewis is around Priest should be praying for another team to sign him, but he's still used in Billick's system so he may stay, especially as backup (Jamal did have all those injuries at Tennessee). If he goes to another team to start or with a chance of starting he could be a #1 back.
Johnson, Anthony JAX UFA 11 years as a RB…retire already!
Johnson, Leon NYJ UFA His injury problems may keep potential suitors away, besides his all-around skills make him too valuable to the Jets.
Kirby, Terry OAK UFA Cleveland was stupid to let him go - maybe they can get him back this off-season? Regardless, his time has past so ignore him.
Linton, Jonathan BUF RFA If he could get away from Wade Phillips and the worst backfield-by-committee approach this side of Kansas City he could be a solid backup RB, but he'll probably stay in Buffalo.
Linton, Jonathan BUF RFA Well, he's been saved from another year with Wade Phillips and the worst backfield-by-committee approach this side of Kansas City, but now he has to win the job for the new regime.
McAfee, Fred NO UFA Probably still a good #2/3 RB in NFL, but if Ricky's healthy (always a big if) he sees no playing time. Stay away.
Milne, Brian NO UFA He escaped the Bengals and should be content to stay on this up-and-coming team as a backup - but do the Saints want him?
Murrell, Adrian WAS UFA I think he's got something left for a veteran team like Carolina and could be a decent #2 or #3 RB in fantasyworld, but on the Redskins he's worthless.
Pass, Patrick NE RFA Too young and promising to let go; however, Belichek is in charge so anything could happen. Avoid him.
Pittman, Michael ARI RFA Do the Cardinals take a leap of faith on Thomas Jones this year or do they keep the competition going? Pittman had a good year and may be too much for them - stay tuned to this scenario.
Rivers, Ron ATL UFA Primarily signed as Jamal Anderson insurance, he was never cashed in this year. Probably won't be cashed in anywhere else either except for a utility back role, which is pretty useless to us.
Shelton, Daimon JAX UFA He should to be kept around for insurance as well but if he gets a better backup offer JAX can't match due to salary cap problems.
Thomas, Robert DAL RFA Old man Emmitt is still going strong…ignore Thomas.
Warren, Chris PHI UFA Duce Staley will be back next year, so Warren is semi-expendable. Still, given his age and wear and tear, he could be resigned cheap and he'd definitely be the best backup to Staley they have, so expect him to stay in Philly and only get spot work or mop-up duty - pretty much what he's been doing the last few years in Dallas.
Watson, Justin STL RFA Still too much of a gamble for teams to pursue. He should stay put as the backup for Marshall.
