Bill is back with his take on the fantasy superstars of 2000. At least Derrick Alexander gets a little respect for his fine season... Despite totaling more receiving yards and TDs, Alexander will sit and watch as Eric Moulds soaks up the Hawaii sun at the "real" Pro Bowl.

Daunte Culpepper - (Starter) QB MIN A plastic surgeon and the Oprah Winfrey diet couldn't have made Dennis Green look better. After all the criticism Green received (mine included), he looked like a genius starting this stud.
Jeff Garcia - (Backup) QB SF Well, I had him pegged right at the start of the season. He exploded onto the scene after the 49ers took 2 quality QBs for the "future". Looks like the future is already in the Bay.
Marshall Faulk - (Starter) RB STL WOW! Next year, he goes for 30 total TDs. At his current pace he'll break Emmitt's career TD mark for RBs in like 6 weeks.
Robert Smith - (Starter) RB MIN Mr. Injury actually stayed healthy all year…and finally paid off for all those diehard owners that prayed he would pay off.
Charlie Garner - (Backup) RB SF This guy is the "quietest" stud RB in the league. Wonder what happens next year with Garrison Hearst's comeback.
Ahman Green - (Backup) RB GB Dorsey who? Ahman "The Fumbler" played above all expectations this year and really came through for the Pack when Dorsey couldn't. Hey, he even curtailed that little fumbling problem he had.
Chad Lewis - (Starter) TE PHI A man among boys (NFC TEs sucked this year), and another pleasant surprise in Philly. He could be a special one next year.
Jackie Harris - (Backup) TE DAL How pathetic is this? This guy's like 50 and he was the second most productive fantasy TE in the NFC!
Randy Moss - (Starter) WR MIN Moss, Moss, Moss… every year it's the same thing, Randy Moss is the best WR in the NFL. While everyone is busy kissing Jerry Rice's ass and saying there may never be another one as great as him, this guy keeps inching closer to him. Remember that he's only got a few years in this league.
Terrell Owens - (Starter) WR SF Talk about breakout years. He was a stud last year, but this year he was "Clintonesque" with all the scoring he did. He and Garcia make for a mighty entertaining tandem.
Isaac Bruce - (Backup) WR STL The Rams are relegated to backup duty this year with the sub-par defense of the title put up in St. Louis, and the explosion of Owens.
Torry Holt - (Backup) WR STL How quietly did this guy dominate the league? Warner, Faulk and Bruce get all the press, but he was unstoppable this year and should only get better.
Ryan Longwell - (Starter) K GB With all Green Bay's struggles this year, a lot of Packers did well in fantasyland, and none was more impressive than Longwell.
Martin Gramatica - (Backup) K TB Automatica continued to display his magic - except for a few ill-timed misses, but he still got the job done - as usual.

Peyton Manning - (Starter) QB IND The up-and-down, no defense, disappointing Colts, were still lead by the best all-around QB in the league. He carried this team to the playoffs.
Rich Gannon - (Backup) QB OAK Old Man Gannon did it again. I said he and Beuerlein wouldn't duplicate last year's success, but was only 50% correct. Gannon did even better this year it seems.
Edgerrin James - (Starter) RB IND "The Edge" picked up right where he left off from his rookie year. Even though he wasn't as dominant (the entire Colts team under-performed this year) he still managed to be the best all-around RB in the AFC.
Eddie George - (Starter) RB TEN This workhorse is the best power RB in the league and his stats prove it. Need someone to carry 35 times a game not named Earl Campbell? Well here he is.
Mike Anderson - (Backup) RB DEN It's gotta be the shoes! First Terrell, then Olandis, now Mike - hey, wanna be like Mike? Oh wait, that's already been done. What kind of chaos will there be with all 3 healthy next year?
Fred Taylor - (Backup) RB JAX He stayed healthy for the most part, and got rid of that pesky James Stewart, and he kicked ass, despite the Jags poor season.
Tony Gonzalez - (Starter) TE KC He's a God.
Freddie Jones - (Backup) TE SD Poor Freddie, always a bridesmaid to Tony G. Still, I'll take Freddie in the 4th round and you can have Tony G. in the 1st.
Rod Smith - (Starter) WR DEN Denver aired it out this year like Elway was still playing! This is an exciting team and Smith is a huge part of it.
Derrick Alexander - (Starter) WR KC I predicted big things for this guy, mainly because of Grbac, and he didn't disappoint. If KC had a good coach Alexander would be showcasing his talent in the playoffs.
Marvin Harrison - (Backup) WR IND Starvin' Marvin had to survive some shaky weeks with Indy this year but still managed to be a top 5 WR. He and the rest of the Indy 3 are still so young and so good that he'll only get better.
Ed McCaffrey - (Backup) WR DEN What, a white guy who's not a QB or a K? Yep, Easy Ed breaks the mold and comes in as one of the best WRs in the game - sorry Keyshawn, I know this kills you to have a low-key, steady white player make you look second rate, but hey, life sucks.
Matt Stover - (Starter) K BAL I knew there was a reason I drafted him as my K in all 3 leagues. I loved the potential for him from last year and he paid off. Baltimore's offense is built for him to dominate this position for years to come (assuming Dilfer doesn't regress and Banks doesn't get his starting job back).
Mike Vanderjagt - (Backup) K IND He was "The Man" last year, but like Olindo the year before, he couldn't win scoring titles in back-to-back years. Hey, that's tough to do though. Vandy is still in the top 5 of K's and will be that way for sometime.
