Joe in Cincy….Tampa Bay only played 14 games in 1977 (0-14)….so yes the Lions were the only team to go 0-16 in a season.

Why is week 12 too early for trading dealine? 12 games is 3/4 of the season…very comparable to all other sports.

TB Bucs did not win a game in their first season, losing their first 26 games in total.

Dave why is your #1 point about QB’s being released UNFORTUNATE? What’s unfortunate is that the NFL’s trade deadline ends too early. That’s where the league need’s to correct the problem. 16 game schedule. I’d argue trade deadline should be extended to at least 3/4th’s of season which would be week #12. Look at Detroit. Lions could have gotten a deal done for say Chris Ivory if it was week 12. Why punish team’s and fan’s for an injury ruining whole season? If a team wants to put a player on waivers getting rid of player’s salary & helping it’s cap room. I have no issue at all with it.
