@ AGB,
Thanks for catching that.

@ Chuck,
Plenty of issues with Mike Williams during his college years. His arrest likely didn't surprise many folks in the league.

@ Yellow Dog,
The league conducts seminars to inform rookies about the hazards that exist for young professional athletes. I believe one rookie was fined $25,000 for not attending. At some point, it's on a young man to grow up.

@ Aaron,
We're all only speculating on Haley's motives but I will say that leaving your stud RB in a game that's way out of hand qualifies as running up the score. Perhaps McDaniels sins were greater but Haley didn't need to have Charles in at the end of that game.

I think he gets the benefit of the doubt. I mean .061 is similar to 2 beers at dinner. I know the majority of us have done that at least once and drove thereafter. Field tests could be considerd biased but the BAC is not. I think he continues to perform as one of the best WR3 and hopefully championships await many that made him a priority sleeper.

"So racism is better than the kid drinking?"

Yes, if we're talking about how we feel about the kid. If we're talking about how we feel about society, that's a different story. But Chuck was saying that he thinks Williams is a good kid. Racism directed at Williams wouldn't change that perception, while drunk driving would. Get the point?

CHUCK, Really???? you "HOPE"???
So racism is better than the kid drinking?
He was only a .06 which is under the legal limit. He must not be able to handle
his alcohol, but he shouldn't be punished. He does need to learn that perhaps he
should look for a ride or drink less when he is out if he gets that buzzed on a
.06 blood alchohol.

Last year the Chiefs did not run up the score. They were simply running the ball at the end of the game. Jamaal Charles broke a few long TD runs off. Charles had a chance to break Adrian Peterson's single game rushing record but was replaced by a backup towards the end of the game.

This year, the Broncos continued to pass the ball in the fourth quarter. They also went for fourth down conversions and challenged Chiefs' TDs. They also played their starters for the majority of the fourth quarter.

I think one of the things Haley reacted to was the injury to Tony Moeaki. I have heard speculation that Haley was upset because Moeaki was hit by Joe Mays and Broncos players on the sidelines were laughing when he couldn't get up. At least this was what Haley perceived. Joe Mays had several dirty hits during the game including one against Jamaal Charles that drew a penalty.

Mike's production and skill were perdictable especially for those (like me) who took the risk on draft day. The NFL, NBA etc must soon develop a better method to assist and mentor these young people so that they better understand appropriate behavior especially in the public's eye off the field. But for now, as a greedy owner just let him catch that rock and bring it to the promice land. My hope is that you all have a safe and Happy Thansgiving
