Projections & Rankings Update - 9/08/15
9/08/15

The amount of cuts and player movement over the weekend (and spilling over into Monday) caused a lot of players near the end of the rankings to be removed. Some others saw their values jump and decline considerably…

Quarterbacks

Matt Cassel (dropped) – It doesn’t say much for continuing your career when you can’t beat out EJ Manuel.

EJ Manuel (+8) – The release of Cassel leaves Manuel as the backup to Taylor. Still, Manuel is best left on your waiver wire.

T.J. Yates (dropped) – The Falcons will go with Sean Renfree as the backup to Matt Ryan.

Running Backs

Dan Herron, Jonas Gray, Robert Turbin, Kendall Hunter (dropped) – All four RBs were either outright released or placed on IR.

Joseph Randle (-6) - Randle’s stock has been slipping over the last week as RBBC talk continues to pick up steam. Plus, the Cowboys traded for former Seattle RB Christine Michael.

Josh Robinson (+17) – Robinson becomes the default No.2 RB in Indianapolis behind Gore.

Terrance West (+11) – West was third on the depth chart in CLE. Now he’s third on the depth chart in TEN. However, he might be the most talented back on this roster.

Wide Receivers

James Jones (No.51) – Jones went from unranked to a WR4/5 in one day. Being in Green Bay is the best-case scenario for the veteran WR.

Brandon LaFell (-12) – LaFell (foot) will start the season on the PUP list.

Tight Ends

Zach Ertz (-6) – Ertz (groin) has lost his fantasy glow this preseason due to injury. He may not be ready for Week 1.
